Most users here are scamming

Reports

Tried to get a ticket to moodyman tonight and was swindled twice. Different users sending the same ticket screenshot, it’s a coordinated effort. Pretty lame honestly, wish there was a better system.

Here are some tips and tricks ive learned:

  1. If the tickets for the event are sold on dice, always have them follow you on dice and then make sure they accept your follow back. After this, ask them to go to their privacy settings and unhide everything under "What you're sharing." If its someone who actually has the ticket, after they do this it will show if they actually have boughten a ticket to the event or not under bookings. If its a scammer, after you ask them to do this, they will then either stop responding to you, say they are unable to do it, say that the tickets are on their friends dice account so they dont have the ability to do this, or they will call you a scammer and say that you only want them to do that so you can hack their dice account (Yes this happens trust me).
  2. If the tickets for the event are sold on other platforms, have them send you a screenshot of the email confirmation they received after they purchased the ticket. Then ask them to hop on a Facetime call and you can both do the whole transaction over Facetime. Or ask to meet up in person if they are located locally. Also ask them for their other social media accounts and observe from there, if theres a low follower count and a high following count, chances are they are a scammer. Also if they posted a lot of pictures over the span of a short time with barely any likes or comments, thats also a red flag. Also look at who they are their followers, if they accounts look fake then chances are the scammer bought them to make their profile look more realistic. But overall, if they refuse to do the Facetime or link in person they are probably a scammer.

Hope this helps and once again very sorry to hear you got scammed. Always report the accounts on Reddit and typically they get removed pretty fast.

I’ve tried buying on here a few times and 90% I backed out bc the sellers were mad sketch. Now when I buy here I (1) make sure the profile was created more than a year ago, (2) check their posts and see if they’re active on other sub-reddits, (3) ask to talk to them on Facebook to finish the deal and check that profile as well.

That’s good man! Gotta name and shame. It’s super helpful.

Also, appreciate the ones who have been genuine, so in future people can go off that.

You should create a post with each person’s name, so that in future if someone looks them up, it’s evident they are a scammer.
