It's time for my first fn fal
I've loved this gun for as long as I've known. It's time to get one and I'm looking for advice. Do I build one? Or buy one. I've built a couple aks and a couple more ARs, so building one isn't a scary thought. I just don't know where to start looking for parts. Any help is appreciated

If it’s your first, regardless of the experience you have, which does sound considerable enough to handle the job, I for one would still say just buy an SA58 from DSA.
Their Classic 21” Package sold by AtlanticFirearms.com is a great platform.
The prices might fluctuate to the high side (honestly, barely) but I’ve pulled the trigger on more than one DSA SA58 from Atlantic and I can tell you, they measure up.
Do your tinkering with the OEM platform and then when you’ve worked out the kinks and quirks of what build you really want, get crackin on acquiring the right parts at the right time they’re available.
Shoot the DSA while you build the grail gun. For someone who’s built AKs I’m sure you can understand the reasoning behind that one.
Edit: ALL THE TIME is the right time for the FAL (except for November 10th, that’s reserved for the Kalashnikov until the end of time, and every day at 7:40 both AM and PM because I LOVE my AIMS)
😤I do not have a problem! 🤡You have a problem! Lol
So what is the holy grail gun. 100% imbel parts? Or a mix
Nah lol just whatever you decide is the arrangement for you. Barrel length, sight particularity, stock and carrier type, yadda yadda. I’ve got more parts from the “changed my mind” category put there during a build than I ever would have purchased if I’d had more time behind the right model.
