That just made me think what if when the anime returns, they do a bbs promotion in the illustrated shinigami guide thing, by showing shinigamis playing bbs?! That would be hilarious

Considering the fact BBS and the novels were what kept Bleach alive during a difficult period, it would be nice to see the anime acknowledge the game

Why do you have them calling him captain in Japanese but speaking English?
This reminds me reading an English translation of a manga where I had to look up Japanese words in a dictionary because the translators took the manga-slang too far.
Talking about this : why the english translator translated shinigami to soul reaper?
I think that it's only in english, everyone else call them shinigamis
Not really, in my native language their name was officially translated into "soul ministers" (as in "church ministers"). I still call them shinigami though.
