Review:

At least the final book in the series attempts to make up for the travesty of Book 2. Let’s start with the positives. Azura is an awesome villain, and I love her vibe so much. I love a lot of the allies in this book, like Clover, Lia, Madeline, and Aurynn, and this book felt well-paced in comparison to the others. The final chapter was also very nice. That’s where the positives end for me, however. This book continues the trend of Dom getting completely shafted in favor of Kenna, and it is definitely the most egregious of the three. I mean, as of this book, Kenna has 6 LI’s, and Dom has what, three? None of whom, besides Kenna, he can end up with? I hate that Dom doesn’t get a final LI in this book if you don’t marry him to Kenna. There are hook-up scenes for Dom in Chapter 14 with Sei and Jackson, so why couldn’t those two have been options for Dom, should you not choose to marry him as Kenna? I just think it's ridiculous that Kenna gets to have the lion’s share of dialogue, diamond scenes, outfits, and LI’s, when Dom is literally the deuteragonist. The Book 1 to Book 2 glitch showed itself in this book again too, when Tevan was treated as dead in the Fyordia chapters, and wasn’t an option for Kenna as a final LI (I spent diamonds on him goddamnit, let him at least show up!). If this book had allowed Dom to end up with anyone besides Kenna, I wouldn’t dislike it as much, but the gap between both of them in terms of content is just ridiculous. I chalk it up to this book being one of the OG books, and the first GOC (technically) book. Overall, this series was not as good as I was expecting. I will say that I love the battles and fight scenes, and I love pretty much all of the cast of characters, though! There are some good things about this series…

Side Note: The Jackson hook-up for Dom is so conflicting: on the one hand, it is kinda hot, and its nice having some male option for Dom, but on the other hand, it comes out of freaking nowhere, and it goes nowhere either, because Jackson and Dom barely interact again. I think some hints of Jackson's crush on Dom should have been scattered throughout the series or at the very least this book prior to this scene, just to provide some context for why Jackson suddenly wants to bang Dom lol.
