If you have a smart tv open the web browser and go to Timbers.com and watch it that way. Or steam-cast it from Timbers.com from your phone to the TV. Or just watch on your computer or phone. Or join the rest of us live at providence park.
This also worked on my dumb tv using my firestick browser.
There will be a stream on Timbers.com. You may need a VPN if you're out of market. There were regional blackouts last match. Might be mirrored on Timbers Discord but I haven't seen any indication of that yet. https://discord.gg/kc7zYbtN
The stupidity is mind numbing. I live in Bend. Streamed the last game from my phone. This game says it is “region-restricted.” Can I work around that? Sure. Do I want to? No! Thanks Timbers, for making it hard for a fan in your own state to watch you!!!
If you’re in an iPhone make sure you have private relay (beta) turned off or it will lock you out.
Settings > your name (iCloud settings) > iCloud > private relay
Or that you have your vpn off or set to Oregon if you use one
That is helpful, thanks!
I just think it's insane and counterproductive that we're talking about this is the first place. Someone made a choice to "region-restrict" this in the first place. That's a choice...and I wonder, why the heck did the Timbers choose that?!?
Yay! Awesome! As far as blackouts go, they infuriate me to no end, are a relic of the past, and their existence points to executives who share the same distinction. It’s all licensing.
Thanks, this did the job.
I hear mic noise.
Edit: which is the Dutch one?
Should be on Timbers dot com unless you live out of state iirc
I used a browser extension on chrome called “Location Guard” even though im out of state
I thought someone on Twitter said they ended up watching it from Michigan because the regional viewing was turned off part way through the match...but maybe not. We'll see!
Is there a reason it's blacked out outside of Oregon? Why are they doing blackouts for preseason games anyway?
Just want to watch my boys :(
It was blocked here in New Zealand, whereas the previous matches streamed on timbers.com weren't. It's really frustrating when they region block some place and then provide no way to watch at all in that region.
