Absolutely yes! Anytime I play in alternate tunings, strums a must

I find that works best in a bass/drums duo situation. When playing with multiple guitars or keys it becomes less feasible. It is fun though.
Agreed. Can definitely clash with rhythm guitar playing. Pinback does a pretty good job with strum style bass playing along some lead or rhythm guitar
