Best Reddit client for Mac?

Question

I tried using Comet and Stellar from app store on my MacBook Pro but these apps looks to be very beta as compared to boost and similar mobile apps.

How are you guys browsing reddit on macs? I can use browser but was hoping for better browsing experience via app.

I just use Reddit in Chrome. I've had issues with it in Safari in the past, but I'm not sure if it's any better or not.

The Reddit website in general isn't that good on any machine (New Reddit, that is), but it's no worse in Chrome than on my other computers.

I use Reddit in Safari, and it's not a good experience, though it's gotten a little better recently. It takes a long time to load posts. I open each post I want to read in a new tab to give it time to load while I continue browsing my feed.

I also use Apollo. The biggest advantage is that Apollo supports translation. I would like to see the official application support this as well. (I am Japanese.)

I tried Apollo, which is by far the best on iOS. And we'll, it's okay, but doesn't really feel home on Mac. Scrolling is very weird and overall it's more of an iPad app. So if anybody has a good alternative it'd make me happy, too.

I just discovered that the “sort by live” option exists only on the IOS Reddit app, not the desktop.

I prefer Safari desktop over the app, except for the lack of that feature.

I use Firefox in Windows, macOS Intel and macOS Apple Silicon, and it runs fine. The slowest Mac I use regularly is a 2010 iMac 27 and it runs fine on that system. I use Ublock Origin which blocks trackers and ads and that may help.
