Agree. I originally heard about the story on the news this morning and when I goggled to find out more I also learned he donated 36 million to a previous candidate, and he also donated tens of millions (don't remember the exact amount) to shoot down a proposal to change Illinois tax to a graduated model which would cause the wealthy to pay more.

Well the good thing about ole USA is we are all equal. That’s right! I, who can’t afford to donate get the same access to my Governor as Ken Griffin would. No favors. No special treatment, all the same/
It's all over the local news and I live near Irvin's city that he mayors.
They are really pumping how great of a guy KG is but also saying how Pritzker has already put in like 120mil and it will be an uphill battle for the Republican.

I thought so too but if you are wealthy there are always loopholes I guess.
Also, I've been googling trying to find an answer to this and it seems that it varies state to state. But still not 100% clear on IL limitations (or lack of).

I'm positive the donation is simply because he loves the candidate, and not because he has been trying to buy every candidate that has run against Governor Pritzker. And believe me, I'm not saying I'm in love with Pritzker, but it's worrisome to think about Griffin having the governor in his pocket, especially in a state where the CBOE resides. Let's hope RICO takes him down first.
