I got jumped by 2 people I know on the way home from the pub last night...Now my phone is knackered and I'm absolutely skint. Can I get damages?

There was an altercation in the pub, I left and then these two spanners followed me up the road in a car and started laying into me.

I'm kinda nervous about walking around my own estate now because the two guys are always up to stuff like this. Like I said, my phone got broke in the incident and I can't afford a new one at the moment.

I'm wary about ringing the police as I start a new job next month with required me to get DBS checks etc; I dont want that to be ruined by any police involvement.
