Brits, are you happy with your society at the moment?
For background, I have lived in the uk for almost half my life here, having attended school and university in the UK - I have mostly integrated into British society but I sit in the middle of 2 cultures.
I’m curious about what Brits think about their society. I was walking around today and a little boy on his bike fell in front of a group of people and they all walked quickly to get past the boy and he was still on the floor. I am wondering if people are happy about this kind of behaviour or it has just been accepted.
I’m somewhat confused because I hear in the media about British people complaining that there isn’t a community spirit anymore but I’ve noticed many Brits doing their best to not help or interact with other’s. Of course this isn’t a rule, because more often than not people are actually helpful here in the north compared to places like London.
Levels are depression loneliness are so high yet not much effort is being put into improving things and most people are disconnected from each other.
