Need camera-nerd opinions... Nikon d1500 or Cannon EOS rebel t2i?
Does anyone have any opinions on which one is 'better'? I will be using this camera for mainly portraits and some landscape. Which one do you think I should purchase?

It kind of depends on what you're looking to do with your camera. For video the t2i is a boss of a camera, my friend has one and I can dig it for the videos and stuff. I have the 5100 and it's my love, the HDR feature on it is pretty useful if you're into that sort of stuff. The most useful thing about it has to be the tilty swivelly screen, it really opens up a whole range of new shots.
One thing I really love about canon's layout is, they have the digital zoom buttons by your right thumb, which is helpful, because you can zoom into your shot and make sure you have the perfect focus. Although that's a pretty minor thing.
I hope that helped, I'd say try both out for yourself and see which one you like better. also try snapsort.com and just compare for the basic specs and stuff
I know this is a late response, I went on vacation and haven't logged in since I returned. I ended up getting a canon t2i and I love it! I still don't know how to use it to my best ability, but I am learning :)
