Whats the gadget?

What gadget? The green one to the left? My PPM meter. Or the tube attached to the pot? These are self watering pots I use for my carnivorous plants. That tube on top tells me how much water is in the pot.

Yes the tube. I haven't seen anything like that before. Where did you find it?

Amazon. Just searched for self watering pots. I liked that it had a meter so I wouldn’t have to even touch the pot to know if it needed water or not. Also liked the look better than what they were in before.

Now that you shove them in find a way to enclose the planter in some kind of covering. That will aid in keeping the medium moist during the time to root because the medium won't get dry as fast.

My D. Spatula was a jungle with the amount of flowers it threw this season. Just for fun I wanted to see how this would work. Cut them all down in inch or so pieces and shoved them into the medium. Let’s see how this turns out.
