Deleting DOD/AFM parts

2013 Yukon XL 4x4, LC9 engine with cylinder deactivation and VCT.

The DOD had already been tuned out, but I just found out one of the cylinders has some scuffs on the walls, so it is getting rebuilt. Cam and lifters getting replaced also.

If I use a stock cam that is only for VCT and not DOD, and of course a full set of non DOD lifters... Will it need any tuning other than the delete that has already been done?

Just the block off plate for the valley and a HPTuners tune

Why do you want to run a stock cam? Drivability? Emission? Cost?

Just was not looking to hot rod it. This is gonna be a road trip rig.

Also where I work In an probably get one for a discounted price.

this is a example of what can be done with a small cam. with the right cam you can pick up a lot of power down low in the revs. it will make a big difference towing and still have a stock sound to it.
