The free Proton VPN on an ipad is having issues, and I’m unsure whether the paid version would eliminate them?
I’m in the US and got the free Proton VPN to test before committing to the paid version. I have it simply as a shield to prevent my cable provider from selling my search history.I don’t torrent, don’t use it to get around firewalls, etc.
It’s driving me crazy because when I’m on some normal websites, I can be reading an article and it suddenly resets the page repeatedly to the beginning of the article. I’m assuming it’s losing it’s connection and resetting? I typically give up and disable the VPN.
The other problem is the search engine. I typically use DDG on Firefox and DDG is fine with reaching websites with the VPN. But sometimes, I need to switch to Google and every single time, Google forces me through that #$& Captcha garbage for each and every search.
Will I be just as irritated if I go to the paid version of Proton? (I’m guessing I’m stuck with the search engine irritation, but hoping the paid version might prevent the page restart problem.)
