Ego and Archetype - Finding it hard to finish last two chapters. Help!

I found this book interesting, full of 'eureka' moments for myself initially. This is my first Jung/Jung related book. I felt liberated while learning about the self, ego self axis and individuation processes. I'm planning to read The portable Jung next to learn more about Jung. But, now, i am finding it hard to push through the last two chapters the blood of christ and the philosopher's stone. I'm at the mid of blood of Christ - i am just unable to read more than a paragraph, then i just close. I cannot invest in it. Maybe, it's cause i am a hindu, and I do not have earlier exposure to the Christian/Greek myth references and do not connect to it. Maybe that's the problem? Or can i just skip the last two chapters? I don't want to miss out on anything from the book too. Any help or suggestions would be really appreciated.

I was raised Catholic, and I found those to be the weaker chapters. It has been close to a decade since I read it though, so I might be forgetting something. I remember the Philosopher Stone and Ouroboros stuff to be the most powerful.

The philosopher's stone might then serve as a reward to finish the blood of christ. Thanks for the response and affirmation!

Actually from what I remember it is the Philosopher Stone allegorically.

Its symbolic, don't take it as literal religion.

I understand that! My question was different.

I can feel it. It was hard for me too with no previous exposure to the bible and it's related text. I skimmed across the quotes for the Christ chapter but the Philosopher stone chapter actually drew me into the rabbit hole of alchemy.

Thanks! That's interesting. I'll try to do that as well!
