I need advice on what hardware is good and affordable, as I don't even have a PC that can run DCS. I primarily need advice on a PC, HOTAS, and anything else you would recommend as essential (head tracking?).
If it matters at all, I am primarily interested in US and Russian fourth-generation fighters.

Headtracking isn’t essential but a HUGE QoL feature. Maybe try and get a used one. Got mine for 75bucks (TrackIR 5) and after a year it still works perfectly fine

GTX 1070 is pretty much the lowest I would go for a GPU if you're not doing VR. RX6600's or RX6600XT's are a good value for money in some countries atm.
Ryzen 5600X should be doable with that budget, otherwise an i5-12400 (or 12600K if you plan on overclocking)
32GB of RAM
Get an SSD, preferably NVME, 1 Terabyte
Get a case with GOOD AIRFLOW. Don't buy something that has the cooling fand covered by a glass panel!
TrackIR is expensive but works out of the box. Delanclip is a cheaper solution that works almost just as well.

I'd aim for: 1070 or better, i5 8600k or better, and at least 16 gigs of ram. For peripherals, track ir and an x56
I run a 1050ti oc. And although I agree it is not amazing, it gets the job done. On low settings I can get about 30fps and it runs fine. The only bottle neck that you will face in dcs is ram. You need at least 16gbs. However at 16 you are still get shuddering. I have 32gbs and I use about 26 while in game
considering this subreddit is on the smaller side, it might be a better idea to get some info on the reccomended specs for DCS, and then going to a PC building subreddit where people with more knowledge on PC parts can help you pick a more budget friendly PC.
