Any background for the data?

500k accounts likely has some old users recorded - what was the cuttoff for "last login" of all the accounts?

I started saving on March 2021. So the cutoff is 1 year

Cool data

Id love to see a breakdown of bucketed last played time for the mojang accounts

either "last seen" or "time played"

You might find that people who played 5 minutes and left back in September have probably migrated
(but obviously havent touched based with your server since they joined)

yea I agree. I should sort the data to exclude old players. Altho there are a lot fewer data points then

Oh, you reminded me that I still have my old account from 2010 that’s still unmigrated. Did the cutoff date already pass?

Even if it did, you can still migrate

1

You shouldn't migrate

1

I wholeheartedly agree, but you can’t play with unmitigated accounts anymore

1

You can still play with mojang accounts

My account is a legacy minecraft account, not a Mojang account. I made it before Mojang accounts were a thing, and I never migrated it to be a Mojang account back in 2014 or whenever that happened. I still log in with my username

so 33.9% still use Mojang account?

1
IronExceptionOP•

yea, before the forced migration at least. (altho the forces migration is just the launcher preventing you, you can still use other programs to the authenticated)

So there are only few months or days left to be able to use launcher like I use version 1.6.89-j.
