Review:

This book was such a blast to play, mainly because it really sticks to its gimmick throughout. By that I mean that the book never strays from this awesome feeling of being a part of a skilled group of crooks plotting a dastardly heist, and that’s what makes it great to me. The whole concept of picking your crew, and having multiple possible combinations and dialogue available depending on who you choose is so, so novel and such a great concept. It offers an actual degree of choice, which is ironically rare in some of these books. Ansel is a perfectly detestable villain, and it's satisfying to see him get what he deserves in the end. Speaking of the end, this book has three different endings, and different endings for all crew members too, which again adds to the amazing level of choice this book offers. The LI’s are really nice too! Eris and Rye are interesting enough on their own, and Fabien and Tillie are great too! Sonia is an awesome character too, and I really love her design and the fact that she can become a “LI” of sorts by the end. This book actually doesn’t focus on romance all that much, which is very refreshing honestly. One grip I have is that the male M/C sprite looks a bit awkward. It’s the same sprite used in other books like Laws of Attraction, but I’ve always thought that his neck looked a bit…distended? It gives me this impression that he’s constantly jutting his neck out, and it’s just weird. However, that’s just a minor, petty complaint in the face of a wonderful book. It’s GOC too, and y’all know how much I love GOC books! All in all, I really enjoyed this book for its concept and fantastic execution of that concept, and the high degree of choice available. Feel free to tell me your crew combinations - I’d love to hear them!

Also, this book is begging for a sequel. Even the title of the book indicates that this is only the heist in Monaco. I'd love to see a sequel to this book with all-new crew members and a fresh heist to undertake! Is this one of the books that was confirmed to never recieve a sequel? I'm not sure, so please let me know!
