May you help me find the real deal?
Hello everyone! I have a small question regarding about a Cartier Tank francaise. So I was given a fake one with a visible ticking seconds hand and on the back it seems to have the right identification (?) for quartz models which is 2301. Oh and it has date at 6 o’clock. Is this supposed to be an auto?
I’ve tried to find a similar one online but the ones I see -that are quartz- don’t have a visible ticking seconds hand… So where can I find the real model ? I did see examples like Panthere with a visible ticking seconds hand as well as the Santos Galbee large.
Thank you

It is indeed supposed to be an automatic movement when it has a date at the 6 o’clock side.
Well damn. What should I do with this? I don’t want to throw it out, it doesn’t look that bad apart from the fallen sapphire on the crown. Am I allowed to wear it in my house? Or when I’m dressed up. Edit: why does it have 2301 than?
It has the 2301 because it’s a fake. It’s entire purpose is to make people think it’s a real one. You have to generally look a bit deeper than what’s written on the case to identify if it’s real.
Do whatever you want with it, if you’re happy to wear a fake, wear it. Use it as a beater watch? Give it to someone else who doesn’t care if it’s fake or not? Sell it (Do not try and pass it off as real!)?
Yea I might just use it as a beater tbh. And ty. Definitely will not pass off as real
Hey! I was just looking around more online and stumbled upon this which has a date at 6 and is a 2301: Cartier tank francaise Lady Damenuhur on Chrono24. Maybe the rep I have was trying to be this ? I am not sure. Hopefully it’s legit on the site
You haven't linked anything but for reference the 2301 is a quartz model with no date nor seconds hand
