I notice there's been some updates, new content and stuff.... Did the Caster that they used as a selling point ever get added?

No, the caster has not been released yet. There are things happening with the company that is causing the massive delays in content release, but no details have been shared about what is going on or when they will release more content.

Do you know something? Are you giving them the benefit of doubt? Couldn't this be they did a money grab and have abandoned this game?

I don't know the details but basically, there is some stuff going down internally at the company which has prevented them from releasing more content. I doubt they abandoned the game as this was the studio's 2nd game ever and if I remember right WOTC bought them out before the game was made so unless WOTC is trying to shut them down, I think they are still wanting to release more content for the game.

This was the first D&D game Ive purchased in a long time. This was also, guaranteed, my last D&D game I’ll purchase.

Whoa. A little over dramatic. Look, WotC had the right idea when this company first contacted them about a D&D game. WotC said no. In fact they said no multiple times. WotC didn't say yes until they already began development and showed them the game they decided on making without consent.
I think at that point it was kind of a "so we say no again and look like jerks, or I guess we say yes and look like we believe in them?" kind of situation.
So, look they couldn't handle this franchise. WotC knew they couldn't. The only reason they said yes was they were pressured into it.
Give another company, one that can actually deliver on their promises, a chance.

It comes with the paid DLC that comes out when it comes out. No one knows, and no one is willing to tell :D
