Best Swords to Thrust With?

Game Help

As an individual of elegance, refinement, and culture, I have long been attracted to those most beautiful of implements that utilize grace and sophistication rather than brutish, animalistic force. This includes my quest to become the Eldest of Lords and the noblest of aristocrats. Forsooth! What rapiers, estocs, and other thrusting implements are best for one of my incredible intellect? Literature on the subject is frustratingly inconsistent, so I fear I must rely on you, the masses, to guide me.

Pray tell, which are best to grant my considerable investing power?

(Bad) jokes aside, I’ve always liked the rapier/thrusting sword moveset and am thinking about switching back to one from Moonveil. However, it’s hard to tell which are best to invest in, since many don’t show their true potential until spending truly ludicrous amounts of smithing stones on them.

I’m currently running a sorcery build so I should probably make use of INT, but that can be accomplished through arts of war, and I figure it’ll be good to get general opinions for everyone else out there.

Currently I have Estoc, Frozen Needle, Rogier’s Rapier, and, well, Rapier, but am totally willing to search and/or grind for more.

TL/DR: What are Elden Ring’s best thrusting swords?

Edit: Please give the proper names of the weapons. I can’t read your minds. T-T

A name for the weapon would be appreciated, and maybe one for the boss?

Frozen needle is has been pretty nice for PVP since it has a ranged attack. Rogier's rapier is also a good choice since it already starts upgraded. Otherwise it probably comes down to whatever moveset you like the most.

That said, >!Dragon King's Cragblade!< is easily the best thrusting sword in any soulslike IMO because of its badass bombastic ash that makes me feel like a fucking godslayer, though it's a heavy thrusting sword and looks a bit caveman-y and might not fit the "refined" aesthetic.

I’ll look into it! My beautiful noble aesthetic is already ruined by the twin statue face I have trouble dropping anyway ha ha.

I have recently started using a specific heavy thrusting sword that you get late game and it’s been very fun. Especially on Torrent it’s like an actual lance and very fun to knock other people off horses

Mind giving a name for the weapon so I can look it up?

Called the Dragon King’s Cragblade. Love the effect it has and the skill on it

I personally like the antspur rapier due to you can ash of war it to make it rot/blood my +14 has 72 blood/50 rot so I hide behind my shield and poke (takes 5-7 times for rot 3 for blood) and back off to magic.

Any ash of war with the blood affinities due to its only needing smithing stones you can put a ash of war.

You can also get a whetstone knife variant that let's you change basic ashes to occult/blood/poison if you want bloodhounds step with a extra status. I don't remember where I got the knife or it's name atm.
