Turn off the bot pls, everything is getting randomly over reported. It was a 5 hour old thread with 400 upvotes and hundreds of comments. It was a combat video about a drone strike, which is allowed on the sub even if its a propaganda video(which it was).

The auto bot is annoying af. You not only lose good footage but you also don't know if your post hasn't already been posted (happens to me a lot) since they get removed and become invisible, at least for me

Yeah, the bias going on here is pretty strong. Many posts seem to just get downvoted because they're not showing Ukraine in the strongest light, and so get auto-removed.

(and I am very much on Ukraine's side, but I'd like to be able to see all footage fairly, even if it is propoganda - maybe a flair for propoganda and then people could filter it out if they want?)

Hkonz•

Except that in a context like this (ongoing war) almost all and any footage will be propaganda, even if it wasn’t planned to be.

berkut•

true, but some is more blatant than others (i.e. logos and stuff).

wtf: this thread seems to have been removed as well, although the post it's complaining about has been put back...

TigerAusRiga•

I remember how much more footage from both sides were posted and stayed during the Nagorno-Karabakh war back in 2020. All the azeri drone strikes but also armenian artillery etc

3
ladrok1•

Yeah sometimes I want to upvote video only because it's showing Ukraine loses (I don't upvote anything on this sub), but then I'm scared I will help some fake footage survive...

2
setornOP•

Its pretty annoying, especially because if you tell people that this is happening in this sub they don't even believe it and ask for proof.

Like this guy: https://www.reddit.com/r/CombatFootage/comments/tguayr/comment/i14n5ug/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3

auto bot should be turned off tbh. that being said this is still the most normal sub despite the fact that a lot of worldnews level people are swarming this place

A wonderful job by American teens, taking part in removing evil from this world. After the war is over, their sacrifice will be remembered, they will be written in the history books and be taught to generations.

At this point i feel like reddit is doing the ostrich manouver.

Put their head in the sand, if you don't see it, it doesn't even exist.

Reddit is super left leaning and nothing like this will ever survive… just rely on Telegram for things like this

I am personally very left leaning and I find that kind of bias very disturbing honestly, nothing good comes from that. Downvoting and reporting ti oblivion pieces of evidence just because someboby find them offensive or because they don't stick to the preferred narrative is a form of censorship, i'd expect It from Russia today, but not from that sub.

2
ladrok1•

Oh so it's true for whole Reddit? I thought only few /r/ were "left degradated"

We have a few really radical people in the comments here before this conflict and nowadays it's slowly turning to an echo chamber that doesn't allow different POVs.

Please remember, this sub is called Combat Footage and is about combat footage. If you only want to see one side winning, head to a telegram channel or other subreddits.

Russian propaganda

1
Mysterious_Planet•

Which warehouses were targeted, where were they, what equipment was destroyed, what level of precision was there in the strike? Or was it just a propaganda video, with a misleading title?

-3
Capoe1ra•

Are you mentally challenged?

Since when do you have to give every detail of a video for it not to be propaganda?

3
Mysterious_Planet•

Since you ask, yes you do need to provide the factual context of the video, without that it is simply propaganda. I'm not hearing any argument from you, you only seem to be able to try and insult me, which is not very persuasive.

-1
StannisSAS•

acc to your logic 99% of the videos posted here is propaganda

If you don't like what you see, then it does not mean it is propaganda

3
Mysterious_Planet•

Of course, but we are talking about a specific video not 99% of videos. The post of it claimed that it was a precision strike on Ukrainian warehouses etc. However, it showed b-roll of take off and landing, and some indeterminate stuff blowing up. The targets could have been anything and anywhere. The title of the post was misleading as a result. I argue that it was not combat footage worthy and that it was propaganda. Whether I like it or not is not material.

-1
Capoe1ra•

Name calling was unnecessary, you are absolutely right, please excuse me, I didn't understand your way of thinking.

Factual context is provided, at least not less than we've seen in lots of other posts which is why I wonder why every detail is needed for it to be no propaganda.

We've seen a lot of stuff that had every detail you wanted, yet still was obvious propaganda put out by the Russian MoD or television, while we've seen other, more personal footage with less information.

Zip it man! This is Reddit! No place for dissenting views, opinions or reality. You want me to report you to the thought police? Do you?!

Calling everyone a bot or troll won't help you.

Ukraine gets 100 bonus kills when Redditors call each other Russian trolls. The tendie squad is doing their part!

No, what is ridiculous is redditors (like you) trying to censor videos from the war, because they don't like the reality they depict.

I don't feel like stalking your history. But I apologize if I made a wrong assumption about you, because you wrote that somehow Russians bots are causing pro-Russian videos to get removed.

This isn’t goodguycombatfootage. It’s combatfootage and it’s supposed to be apolitical.
