terribly confused mechatronics student

It's been one and a half semesters. I have no idea what to concentrate on. I go to college 8:30 to 3:30 and when I return, I am too tired to study (Mentally). All I can do is workout, read some sci fi or other and go to sleep.

I still haven't figured out what mechatronics is about. And am in need of motivation. Why I joined this course : Thought of joining aerospace but mechatronics with a aerospace in masters seemed better to me. I know that mechatronics is a very wide ranged discipline, but my portions don't seem to have that quality.

Besides, the degree of mechatronics is not listed in a lot of Indian engineering Entrance examinations, and one of my friend from mechanical who wanted to join mechatronics didn't do so because the German institutes he wanted to join didn't accept this course. My college is not a premium one and I have been in panik for almost a week now. Should I shift to Mechanical?
