We got really lucky if I'm honest

I just want to point out how lucky we are that this change to Battlefield didn't catch on to a new audience. A good example of this would be Assassins Creed, the series did a massive overhaul with Origins and has stayed the same since. Those games got very popular, they've made money, but have departed themselves so far from what that series was trying to be. Sure, they may be good games, but unfortunately AC is now stuck this way. The original formula will not be returning.

Battlefield 2042 on the other hand, has been widely accepted to be a very very poor direction for the series. It's regarded as a failure internally, the player count is dropping rapidly, DICE have completely screwed up on this one. Which is so so unfortunate, but it's good the community has stood up to it. I just really hope DICE management actually learn this time. The fact they learned nothing from BFV is mind boggling past comprehension. What do you think?
