Seriously People!?
I understand that this is the sub where you can speak your mind and not be banned like over at r/startrek, but are some of you even fans? Now the utmost crime of the Star Trek universe is that the crew have a medical technology installed in them that seems like it would be an awesome idea?
I didn't like either DS9 nor Voyager. You know what I did instead of bitching about them? I stopped watching. Don't like Discovery, or Picard, or Lower Decks, or Prodigy? Don't watch them. Hell, I'm betting some of you who were around back in the day bitched about the look of the Enterprise-D, or the fact that they had families on board. Or you hated DS9 because it was based on a station and not on a ship and had too much prophet mumbo-jumbo. Or you hated Enterprise for the theme song and everything afterwards.
Picard is NOT TNG, we know that. It is its own story. Can every post NOT be a bitch session about some element that enrages you beyond belief? We have gotten better character development in three episodes than we have gotten in four seasons with Discovery. We got to see Nova and Appalachia class ships chasing down the crew. We got to see Seven's nasty husband vaporized in a cool new way! We saw a great Star Trek moment with Picard, the Queen, and Jurati on the ship.
Seriously, can you all not be a Debbie Downer for maybe one day? There is enough shitty stuff going on in the world as it is, to have to come here and see the constant bitching and moaning. We don't need to be cheerleaders for nuTrek like over at the other sub, but either change the name of this sub to r/I_Hate_Star_Trek, or try to find some things you DO like instead of crying all the time. Or better yet, cowboy up and pitch your own idea to Paramount and get it made. I'd love to give it a try. But if it sucks, I'll turn it off.
Rant over, carry on.
