Your dog has run out of battery.

Oh my gosh. Basset hounds are everything 😂 we had one when I was a kid and I remember once she managed to slip past us when we were leaving and we had to chase her around the neighborhood. It lasted about 5 minutes, and then she dramatically flopped to the ground and decided her batteries had run out, so we had to carry her home. 😂

Ahahahahaha! I love how he just slid down the step. He clearly can’t be bothered. Such a good boy!

This is what my dog does to protest being on a leash. The second the leash is off? Zoomzoomzoom!!

My labrador does this .....but he is 15, so I wait for him to get going again.

This was 10 min into our walk after sleeping until 1:30pm after a quick pee and breakfast this morning. He’s not tired, just stubborn lol

I fostered a Bassett hound for a few minutes. He would always only walk like ten minutes and then turn into a boulder. I either had to carry him or wait for another five minutes to get him moving again. So dramatic.

He was just helping you transition to carrying time. For your biceps.

Our Bassett was the definition of "this is fine".

Mine would happily walk for an hour or more, unless I tried to take him in a direction he didn't want to go. Then he'd flop over just like that and I'd end up carrying his 60 lb ass

Looks like such a drag

Does dragging him not hurt him?

captbakaOP•

No, he’s fine. Usually he only does this on grass. First time on this part of our walk. Pulled at him verrrrrrry slowly bc this was on the sandy/dirt part. He’s truly fine — he just kind of enjoys being difficult. He stood up right after this when I pulled out a treat lol

Good to hear, I was worried for a sec

The floor was trying to fly away so he had to help keep it in place.

Get up, you lazy goat! At least to get a hug.

Please don’t do that, you’re pulling on his neck. This can lead to an injury and I know you weren’t intentionally trying to hurt the dog. Sometimes when we are being silly with our babies we can be low key hurting them.
