Any of these worth the price? Preferably on the cheaper side.
My family have covid. Booked into a hotel for two weeks to avoid getting it. Thinking of buying a laptop purely for steam games while I'm away.
Looking at these specifically;

Do any of these seem worthwhile?
Would appreciate any assistance.
Edit: doesn't have to be a beast I have my desktop for that. Happy to play indie games and such while I'm away. Just trying to avoid being robbed.

Most people will point you at getting a 3060 or above, and with good reason as it's a big step up in performance. But the 3050Ti isn't a bad performer for 1080p games, especially older titles and anything that can take advantage of DLSS. The Asus TUF for $1600 could have been OK except that the cpu is the crappy 4 core i7, and the next decent option up is close enough in price to justify paying extra for the msi katana with a proper i7 11800h and 3060, but that's got a shitty 85w tgp and a horrible screen. So I think the best one there's is the Dell G15 3060 with tgp of 115w and a Ryzen 7 5800h and 16gb ram for $2300. It's not an amazing price as that's about US$1700, so ultimately I'd tell you to get the lowest price 1650 dell for $1k and use it for a bit and sell it for $6-700 in 3-6 months and then get something good. But if it's just for 2 weeks, I'd find something else to pass the time (2nd hand PS4/XBOX or something)
Thanks for all the info, appreciate it and the detail.
I think I'll take your advice and just focus on other hobbies while I'm away. Got a few books I've had my eye on so I'll get those instead.
I agree. Just get a cheap one. I know this is AUD. Dont spend like $2500. A second hand console is way better.
