When did Jagex remove the ability to login to their website with a VPN?

Discussion

I can still play through Runelite with a VPN connected and I'm usually always connected to a VPN anyways. I went to the website to check on my accounts and kept getting a 1020 error with an access denied message regardless of where I was VPN'd to. When did this start happening?

I can always just turn off my VPN.. but the amount of time it takes to do that is enormous. Let's say it's an average of 4 seconds total to turn off the VPN, re-establish connectivity, and then an addition 4 seconds to turn it back on and re-establish connectivity. That's 8 seconds of total time wasted. Now let's say you check your account 5 times a month. That's 40 seconds a month of pure XP waste. 40 seconds a month by 12 for the year is 480 seconds which comes out to be 8 minutes per year of wasted time

If you do this for 200-300 years (thinking for future generations), that's 144,000 seconds over the course of 300 years, which is 2,400 hours of potential wasted XP., and that's a bit ridiculous.

OK, got side-tracked a bit, but you get my point. When did Jagex make it so you couldn't VPN to their website? Can someone else try to confirm I'm just an idiot and this is on my end?

Thanks
