I wish my boyfriend was more affectionate towards me through text but he doesn’t want to be 🥲
hello all,
while I like to read mine and my boyfriends texts from years ago.. I don’t like seeing how affectionate and sweet he used to be. I dont knkw why he stopped being like that. he would be so affectionate, tell me things like “my princess, my love, I love you so much, I cant wait to see you, I cant wait to meet you, I’m thinking about you right now, you’re so beautiful, im so lucky to have you, I don’t ever want to hurt you, if you lived nearby, Id treat you like a princess, I’ll treat you the way you’ve always wanted to be treated.” those were just a few of the many sweet things he used to say. 🥲
He stopped saying these things around in 2018, shortly before we met. Since then, I have told him many times that I wish that he was more affectionate and that why does he say those things now that i am his and have been his for many years? all he said was “i don’t say those words, my parents never raised me to be affectionate with words. Im not a person of many words.” He would still sometimes say them time to time though, when I would say them first.
now, 3 meet ups, and many wonderful memories later.. he still gets annoyed when I bring up how i miss how affectionate he would be.
it just feels good to be told those sweet things, especially when being apart. ☹️🥲 the good thing is that sometimes, when I say sweet things, he says them back, but that’s only once in a while.. I just wish he could say a simple “I love you and I’m so lucky to have you”.
being affectionate doesn’t cost a thing unlike a gift. 🥲
