Stereo home setup, with possible portability

I've been looking to buy a wireless speaker in the sub 500$ category that I can use as a stereo system for a projector setup, while at the same time, I can take one of the speakers with me to play somewhere else around the house.

It seems that two Minirig 3 could do the job, but I've also read they seem to have pairing issues and they have a proprietary charger I am not a fan of. Would you have any other reccomendations that could fit such a scenario?
