Cheats on or off?

I just started a Vault Hunters world on Iskall's pregen with cheats off. I was wondering, do most people play with cheats on, or off?

I play with them on when i'm using modded worldgen, because Oh The Biomes You'll Go makes it wayy harder to find a few of the items for the altar. I searched 4000×4000 blocks and couldn't find a sunflower, so I cheated that in.

Also, do items break sometimes, and need commands to fix? I don't want my statue cauldeon to randomly break or something, and then not be able to fix it because cheats are off.
