Surgery’s tomorrows

I am getting my surgery tomorrow for my pilondial cyst..

I’ve had it since I was 16 (I am 23 now) it has caused such horrible pain for me ever since but due to neglect in my house hold I’m barely able to get any help for it now..

any advice for recovery? (I am having open wound surgery) I live in an upstairs apartment so I don’t plan on going anywhere anytime soon.. what do I need to pack with, just regular soft gauze? (I forgot what doctor said cause of anxiety) I feel very confident with going in for my surgery as my doctor explained to me very well how this works and explained to me options.. so that’s not a concern at all about the surgery, I am just a big baby when comes to pain.

Thanks for all those who reply!

Edit: surgery went well and I am home recovering

Edit #2: I’m still home recovering the first day I was out of it obviously, second day a lot of pain, third day now and still a lot of pain.. unpacking wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be.. still uncomfortable but not bad

For those asking I got a cystectomy (they cut it out and left it open to heal inside out)
