Main PhD supervisor retiring - advice appreciated

Hi All,

So I’ve just found out that my main supervisor is retiring due to personal reasons. I’m currently on maternity leave and will be until September - so they are helping me find a replacement for when I return.

I’m gutted they are leaving. Does anyone have any advice about how to navigate this? I’m 2 years in to a 4 year PhD (had just entered 3rd year when I suspended studies for maternity leave).
