Any actors out there that can help a noob?

Hi Vancouver!
I'm looking to start acting at the young, youthful, naive age of 34, but I'm not sure where to start. I took a bunch of acting classes in high school, and I was on the improv team which I loved. Other than that, I have no experience acting...which is honestly to say I have no real experience acting.
I don't have a ton of spare cash, so unfortunately I can't hop full time into a college or university, but I was wondering if there are any good 1-off classes that would be helpful to look into? At least to get a refresher or to understand the basics of what I'd need to do.

I'm happy doing either live stuff or films, although I'd prefer to do films I think. I know I need a headshot, I can maybe scrounge up some friends to make me look nice and to take some photos, but any advice on how to go about that would be helpful as well. I would also be ok with getting something done more professionally, as long as it's not too pricey.
