Complex febrile seizure...Will we ever sleep again?

Advice Request

One year old had a complex febrile seizure last week—vomited right after a nap after making a loud coughing noise. We went in to get her and she was limp, eyes rolled back and un-responsive. We thought she was choking as we had never even considered a seizure—definitely thought we were losing her.

After multiple 911 attempts (all operators were busy!?), an ambulance ride, intubation, spinal tap, blood draws, and a 24 hour EEG brain study…the works!... we’re home again and she came back negative for everything scary like meningitis, irregular brain activity, etc. She did test positive for adenovirus so we think her temp spiked while napping.

Scariest day of my life, stressed like never before and anxiety is through the roof. Nap time is pure hell, and every sound she makes is triggering. How the hell do we ever sleep again wondering if this will happen again? Any suggestions? Reassurance? Anything?

Thanks, everyone.

P.S. - every parent should know how apparently common febrile seizures are
