Bowel Movement after cleft lift

Had a BM day after surgery, had to strain slightly I think d/t pain meds but have been taking stool softener - noticed a little blood when wiping but had person I was with look at incision and doesn't look like anything opened (its close to anus) - should I be concerned or is this normal?
