Decent bars still open in the CBD?

Hey all, trying to gather suggestions for a place to have a drink in the CBD that has a decent atmosphere, isn’t priced through the roof and still has a bit of class to it, somewhere I could take a date? I don’t venture into the city much and the bars that I have been to recently, even though they are nice enough they are somewhat lacking character.
