Dealing with Diamond Parking/Royal Parking

Got two tickets from both of these companies lately for parking in lots near Lansdowne and apparently walking away from the lots to other businesses even though I was not.

Has anyone ever dealt with these companies? I hear if they are private parking companies, they will not affect credit scores but they will send it to collections which could? I wonder if that is true.
