Knowledge of Portable Power Station 4: Emergency UPS function
Each year, many families suffer from unexpected and sudden blackouts or power outages. The best Portable Power Station should support UPS function. Let’s take an example:
If you want your refrigerator to have uninterruptible power even when an outage happens, add a Portable Power Station between refrigerator and grid power. It works as a bridge. Grid power supplies to the refrigerator bypass the battery. At the same time, the battery can also be charged by grid power. (Charge circuit will be cut off after battery reaches full capacity.)
When blackout happens, battery output will be switched on automatically and supply power to the refrigerator. The switchover time from the grid to the battery is in 10ms only. This ensures uninterruptible power supply(UPS) to critical devices like refrigerators and desktop computers.
Of course, not all power banks have UPS functions, but they can be used as backup power, when the power goes out, plug the refrigerator charger into the power bank to get power. There is a premise here, the power of the portable power station should be capable of adapting to loads that require higher power than its rated output power rating.
