Well, the originals they're making are gonna give them lots and lots of time to save money.

The reason he said one won't happen for a while is that their on-air budget is getting too small to pay for high-end CGI like what they use for bumpers and (especially) TIEs. (All their bumpers reuse different animations for TOM and SARA, so that's not as big a deal, though.)

When they aired The Forge, the last TIE before this one, they had to stretch their budget so much that we didn't get any new bumpers for *months*. They used to refresh the bumpers all at the same time every few months or so. Not so much these days.

Well, the Debt is going to be significantly lower after the Discovery Merger than it was under AT&T. And with all the Originals, and his position as SVP on Anime and Action, I'm certain a TIE will indeed happen in the distant future. Maybe the 30th Anniversary. Because those Originals will keep Toonami running for a long, long time.

Jason Demarco said that after The Return concludes on this upcoming saturday night that there will be no more T.I.E Specials for an very long while as Toonami is gearing toward having more Original Series coming in for the block in the near future with the money they receive from WarnerMedia👍

I know they're doing original shows now, but Total Immersion Events are always something to look forward to. A fun adventure where something is bound to change, even something as small as TOM 5 getting Battle Damage. I hope they can still do more TIEs. The Original Programming and Jason's Promotion to SVP of Anime and Action should keep Toonami in business for a long, long time. That's for sure.
