What is the $7.29 charge for?
I was looking at doing a trade-in to get an iphone12 or even 13. My trade in is valued at $729.99 when getting the $729.99 iphone12 and valued at $799.99 applied to the iphone13.

1 offer appliedUp to $800 off with trade and new line. You're getting a promotion worth $799.99. You'll get a $175.00 (estimated) one-time bill credit for the value of your trade-in device, and the rest of the offer via 24 monthly bill credits.
So if $729.99 or $799.99 in total credits is being applied, why is there a $7.29 monthly charge for either phone?
I tried chatting with t-mobile and their response was to fill out a credit application before they would tell me their deep, dark promo secrets:
