Switching From TD Ameritrade to Fidelity - Quick Questions

Hello r/Fidelity!

I am considering moving all of my assets (~$12,000) from TD Ameritrade to Fidelity to be able to invest in fractional shares and ETFs, and to open a checking account there for the $100 sign up bonus and for a better bank. I just had a few quick questions about it:

  1. TD Ameritrade charges a $75 full transfer out fee but a $0 partial transfer out fee, and saw I could transfer all of the stocks but leave the $80 in cash I have in the Ameritrade account and it would count as a partial transfer. Has anyone tried this before? I am asking this because I don't have the $25,000 in assets required for the Fidelity fee waiver.
  2. I read that Fidelity may consider using Zelle in the future, any updates on that?

Thank you for the help!
