Fully aware of the odds

Stacked against one since birth,

Long before their feet touched this earth,

Having to find different mediums to explain,

The arguments for ones worth,

listen to hear,

Not the sounds of what those that don't understand and label only in fear,

Speak truly and clear,

Though one doesn't know you,

Doesn't mean one is worthless,

And not supposed to be here,

Its the reflection you see given back to you,

That truly underlines your value,

So when you sit and wonder,

If I'm all that those tell me?

Never let the answer sit on your lips and ponder,

You know that since birth you are meant to be here,

And live life on your terms,

In love, and without fear,

With letting your heartbeat be the sounds that echo your value triumphantly clear,
