[SPOILERS] “The Watchers on the Wall” was everything “The Long Night” was supposed to be.
First full rewatch since the series ended. “The Watchers on the Wall” episode is everything “The Long Night” should have been. The “Watcher on the Wall” was such a great fricken episode. The cinematographer, lighting, choreography, better dialogue, etc. Loved how we got numerous birds eye view of the scene. Also really enjoyed how they spun the camera around 360 degrees when Jon gets to the bottom, really showcases all the chaos that is going on. The scene with Gren and his men holding back Mag the Mighty. Even the cook had a cool scene with a giant cleaver! There was actual use of tactics. No one was magically saved through crazy plot armor like almost everyone was in TLN.
Everything was just, better. This is one of my favorite episodes in the entire series. What do you guys think?
Edit. And Where in the shit was Meera in The Long Night?!
