Playing Through Every Choices Book, In Order (Part 42 and 43: High School Story, Class Act 2 and High School Story, Class Act 3)
Hey! Today in a special two-for-one, we have to choose sides in an election, put on an amazing, almost professional-seeming musical in London, and say farewell to all our favorite HSS characters as we sadly move on from the series...
Next time, after spring started only four days ago, we celebrate Christmas in our home town of Winter Haven...where our hot boss and hot ex-boyfriend also are. Fun!

Review:
I was wondering when they’d do the school election cliche in this series, and here we have it! This book honestly could have been better, but it just isn’t fleshed out enough. Rory and Casey’s conflict doesn’t last long enough to have a real impact, as you make up with whoever you’re not supporting fairly quickly after denouncing them. Amber and Lorenzo are never punished or reprimanded for literally endangering the life of an animal to win a high school class election. Also, really? A whole school’s gonna vote for some dumb jock because he saved one kitten then adopted it? Emerald was a fun character, but I can only see Penelope Dogwood when I look at her, and that made it kinda awkward. The game tries to make you forget how annoying Clint was in Book 1 by giving him a love interest, and while a part of me thought I shouldn’t hook him up with Graham, just to give him karma, the other part of me was just thinking GAY! GAY! GAY! Ajay’s family problems are interesting, and I liked seeing him come to terms with his parent’s divorce. I thought it was sweet how his main concern was his little brother (whose sprite is just Khaan’s son from Perfect Match, Book 2). All in all though, the book was still enjoyable. I just wish it had been a little more fleshed out in certain categories.

Review:
First off, the Statton kids are so annoying omg. I swear to god I wish they got a better comeuppance in the end. It’s weird seeing that blond boy sprite everyone’s obsessed with being the bad guy lmao. This book tries to do far too much for its own good. It has so many storylines, it doesn’t know how to develop them all properly. Skye’s thing with her parents is well-developed…for the first half of the book, and then they disappear until the end where they come groveling at her feet. Pathetic. Take your sexual harrasser of a son and get outta here. Lilith is a fun alternate LI for Skye, though her sprite being Britney’s from It Lives In The Woods does give me some pause. The Ajay storyline was decent, though he is a complete asshole to Jim so often that it kind of makes it hard to sympathize with him at times. The Rory storyline was stupid. Like, if you want to talk about toxic masculinity, do it in a better way than whatever the hell the Mr. Silva storyline was, please. Like, really? He hid a goddamn friendship from his wife and son because he didn’t want them to see him be emotional? M/C and Casey meeting their aunt was fun…but it was only for one chapter, and it just kind of felt like filler tbh. I didn’t really get emotional at all with the mentions of our birth parents. Prom was fun, although I’m questioning how a public high school got the funding for a lavish, expensive party on a cruise ship, complete with intricate decorations. Finally, I felt like the sendoff for the OG HSS characters and the new Class Act characters was poorly done. It felt rushed, and I just didn’t feel any sense of sadness or anything. I think it could have been done better. All in all, this book is a surprisingly somewhat below average ending to a phenomenal series which remains one of the most wholesome and charming on this app to this day!
