THE G U A R D I A N
HE PROTECT!
(If it isn't too scary)
What an adorable dumpling! ❤️
Thank you!
it drives me nuts because he is beautiful, but usually doesn't sit still long enough to get a good picture
Sure that's a purebred?
Oh yeah. He just turned a year old so he's still a baby.
Going through a phase where he's been kinda frightful lately. 99% of the time he tries to save us from every threat imaginable, even the ones that don't exist.
It could be the r/greebles . Some dogs can see them too.
The other night I could swear he saw a ghost. Absolutely would not go in the kitchen. Jumped into my girlfriends lap and was trembling like a leaf.
Our cats see greebles all the time.
(Thanks for showing me a new sub)
Yeah to me he looks like a mix as well.
The Bicolor german shepherds aren't super common.
I met the parents and they looked/acted like/were textbook examples of a gsd. Maybe the grandparents had a splash of something else in them.
I'm not super worried about his lineage, he's perfect whatever he is.
Oh okay! I am definitely not an expert and the only reason I even said anything is because I have a pretty similar looking boy and he's a 50/50 mix between gsd and lab(not sure what your's is). And I definitely didn't mean to imply he's anything less than perfect!<3
Nothing but love, sorry if it came across defensive.
He isn't fixed, so in a few years I would like to breed him so I can have a puppy of his.... I want a part of him with me forever.
Honestly I want it to be a mixed breed.... Lab or Golden retriever or something that might mean the puppies are a little.... less spicy than he was.
Gsd's are.... very intense, or at least he was. I can confidently say I was in no way prepared for one when I got him.
He's got me trained well now as far as how much walking and playing we have to do every day, but the first few months I got way less sleep than I should've. He was up at sunrise every day just ready to take on the world
Mine is afraid of cardboard, I can put a small piece in a doorway and this dog treats it like it's a wall of death. Only thing she tries to act tough with are the vultures outside.
Beautiful dog!
Thank you!
He's a handful, but a great dog.
I had hoped for an all black one and he was the darkest.
My coworker has his sister.... she started off dark like him and ended up turning super light brown as she got older.
“What the actual fuck?”
Cutieee
Lmaoo
This would be a good meme template.
"20 minutes after you take the second edible because the first hasn't kicked in yet"
My dog is yours twin at 9 months!
Energetic breed!
Dogs that look like Jon Bernthal

Hey, that was an extremely fierce spider....
it was a.....
WOLF ^^spider
Bad so bad that I could cry 😢😭
Damn. The feet. I mean paws. huuuuge
He's a big boy....
I don't think that he will get any taller, but I've read between 1 and 2 years old they start to bulk up/fill out.
Kind of alarming since he is already an 85 lb bundle of muscle.
My guy is stronk
Mine was a fearless protector, she would sometimes find ways to open the front gate to fight other dogs she would always win and come back home on her own.
She killed vermin and snakes.
She was so scary she killed a possum by scaring it to the point it buried itself in a pile of sand and suffocated to death.
Or relationship was of respect from a distance because I too was scared of her, but somehow my sister was able to pet her and ride her like a horse.
A few weeks back, he protected me from a loose pitbull
Didn't end up actually fighting with the dog, but I have absolutely no doubt he would have held it down.
His prey drive is insane.... something I'm working with him on because I don't want him running after rabbit or squirrel he sees.
The only dog that has ever attacked me (and my girlfriend) was gsd as a kid (seperate incidents and different dogs).
They can be super intimidating if you don't know the dog.
Watching him grow up from a pup, he's just a big doofy ball of energy
Mine was adopted already as an adult, because we needed a trained dog to protect our property ASAP, she was very smart and independent, it’s a shame I was never able to be close to her, I hope you can work on improving your pup, they look gorgeous
Dude mine is so damn fierce about people he doesn’t know but when it comes to my family or my husky he is such a wimp it’s hilarious. Just the biggest most dramatic baby.
Mine is super good about new people and animals.... If we are out walking.
If a random person or animal is walking past the house and he sees them, he loses his mind.
We went out of our way to socialize him as much as possible (during covid) when he was young.
That being said, there have been 2 or 3 people he has been super wary/standoffs about and I make it a point to avoid them.
He loves people of every race and class, which was a big thing I wanted from him.... I didn't want a dog that didn't like people who looked different than us.
This dog would fight a bear to protect us, no doubt in my mind, but if my girlfriend's elderly 8 lb cat looks at him sideways he is cowering lol
i always find it funny when the predator starts to respect the prey to the poibt they are nearly scared of it lol. like parrots with cats and dogs, or just cats with dogs
We've ran into some rough ass stray cats that 100% don't have time for his bullshit and would probably lay a beat down on him.
He will try to run up and scare them and they just arch their back and start hissing.
Sometimes nature is all about the appearance of being tough I guess
wow ok i guess yh lol
Our Rottweiler is the same. Such sooks.
