No way in hell Witch Doctor can win. What a big upset this would be.

I am a fan of both Witch Doctor and Copperhead, so this is a tough one for me.

I think of anyone can mangle a frame, it's Witch Doctor. Copperhead is lucky they aren't running the S7 blades from season 4. But, I'm still a little worried.
Although, hoping they both make it out alright is just silly.

Copperhead is an absolute tank though. I dont recall them taking any major damage from any vert so far. IIRC it took a massive horizontal hit to do anything significant.

Right. I love how Copperhead is still on the original frames after 3 seasons. No significant tire failures. With the cross bar, they're safe from horizontals now. I hope that continues.
I guess I don't get the general vibe regarding Witch Doctor. In session 4, they were runner up to a robot that is no longer in the competition. Season 5 was their's to win, but for the weapon issues. When it's working right, it's a top 2 robot, and I don't see any reason why it isn't working right this season.

Not doubting they are a top bot in the slightest. Only questioning weather anyone can wreck copperheads frame.

Did the SoW hit do much to the frame? I was thinking of the Chronos one as the only frame damage i could recall.

I dont recall them taking any major damage from any vert so far.
To be fair, the only true verts they've faced in their 15 fights have been Black Dragon, Lock-Jaw, and War Hawk. And for sort-of verts there was Fusion and Skorpios. They just haven't been matched up against many powerful verts.

Could honestly go either way, and for once I don’t mind who wins. Although I still want Witch Doctor to win.

Pretty much what you expect from a copperhead fight eh? Looks like Witch Doctor is getting its weapon ground to precision there. We'll see if it can hold its tolerances after that.

Because it makes it sound like it's a huge spoiler. In context, it's just saying that their plan was to not go W2W, but if you don't read the FB post it sounds like the implication was that WD got wrecked by this hit.

Why does which doctor never modify its wedge?

It gives her extra reach. The same reason deathroll was so good. Forks or wedglets wouldn’t work against copperhead anyway there’s so much weight on copperheads front forks that almost nothing can get under him.

Yes it’s the best part of their design. People started doing that in season four. The best ones of that style are witch doctor and death roll

They like to stay out of the ground game where possible and make it so the first point of contact is their weapon teeth hitting the opponent.

Considering Copperhead's armour is as thick as Witch Doctor's weapon disc, I reckon WD's discs will break from the weapon on weapon contact.

That’s more a testament to copperheads armor than a detractor from witch doctors weapon

This could have been a s5 semi finals, copperhead might have the edge because of the low ground

Witch Doctor has had the easiest draws so far imo, don't know if they're battle tested enough to get the W.

They got thrown against End game. But I see your point it’s like they had no in between for the most part. Though ribbot probably had the easiest fight night schedule

Most people get a high tier and a low tier and one in the middle.
They got the top and the bottom with endgame and rusty. That IMO is fair enough. The question is was Duck a middle tier competition for them? I can see what they were going for, put the bot that had weapon durability issues against a bot that can tank hits.
It was a decent idea, this version of duck just didn't work out to be the tank of old making it a pretty simple fight.
