The M on top with AYA on the bottom just doesn't work.

Its crap but hey atlest i wont mistake which version like maya2020 or maya2022..
They also have a version without "AYA" and if that's the direction they are going then please remove the "AYA" version from the interface it's hideous. Please and ty.

It looks like they're copying Adobe with the letters. But they don't want to run out of letters so they added the name below..... without the initial.
Just write maya below the M. The old logo was fine.

Maya in general needs a redesign
If they kill your muscle memory, and end-of-line your old files...you'd ditch it forever and pick up another tool that you might trust to stay current.
So they need to keep it familiar, and try to prop it up with more bloat.
Yeah but all maya's tools need updating... be it performing snappier and updating old tools

The new 2023 suite that just dropped seems to be using this new design. Looks dumb as hell IMO.
Also as an icon which needs readability when it's small it can be mistaken for AVA on first glance.
