I need to vent.
Overnight inbound here. Y'all know how it is. Cut hours, massive turnover. We're drowning in rollover, barely able to maintain enough empty vehicles to unload the nightly ~2K truck. Our ETL walked out mid-shift in frustration a while back. Now we have a dayside ETL "helping" us. A star graduate of Dunning-Kruger U. Just an example from last night. ETL is aggressively holding us to schedule, demanding that we wrap things up at 4, because we need to be done by 4:30. Okay. Come 3:30 or so, one of our TLs, a badass who knows their job inside out, calls over the walkie that they're making a bale. ETL responds that we "don't need one yet." Sure enough, at 4 we have a line at the baler, and everyone has to run the thing at least twice to get through their cardboard. Okay. I feel a bit better. Until tonight, at least. 😉
