is the Elgato Cam Link Pro compatible with my Dell XPS 8930 tower?
I have a Dell XPS 8930 tower as a dedicated streaming computer. It is Windows based and the only thing I am running on it is OBS and VLC.
I have been running three DSLR cameras (one Canon SL2 and two Canon M200s) each via CamLink 4Ks (and two webcams), as sources to be used in OBS. Unfortunately, every once in a while one of the DSLR cameras freezes in OBS - typically one of the M200s. (The image on the viewfinder in the camera does not freeze.) Changing the USB 3.x input and reactivating the source in OBS properties normally addresses the problem, but it is really annoying if a camera freezes in the middle of our stream.
So I am considering an Elgato Cam Link Pro to bypass the three CamLink 4Ks. However, I want to know if it is compatible with my XPS 8930 before I purchase it. Is it? Will my video be more "stable"?
Thanks in advance.
Edit: No one responded. I decided to take the plunge. I bought the Cam Link Pro. It works great! Far better than Cam Links.
